Hi, I'm Jessica.

I've spent much of my career thinking about a deceptively simple question: Why is it so hard to do the things we already know are good for us?

My background spans health promotion, health education, teaching, and coaching, and I've seen the same thing again and again: information matters, but information alone rarely creates change. Most of us don't need someone else telling us that we should exercise more, manage our stress, get enough sleep, or eat differently. We need space to figure out what matters to us, what gets in the way, and what might actually work in the context of our own lives.

That's what drew me to health and wellness coaching.

As a coach, I'm less interested in prescribing the “right” answer than I am in helping you find your answer. I'll ask questions, listen carefully, help you notice patterns and possibilities, and sometimes challenge you to look at something from a different angle. You bring the expertise on your life; I bring training in health, behavior change, education, and the coaching process.

I also believe that a plan should serve you—not the other way around. Life changes. Energy changes. Priorities compete. Things don't go according to plan. Good coaching isn't about creating a perfect routine and then grading you on how faithfully you follow it. It's about learning what works, adapting when it doesn't, and continuing to move toward what matters to you.

My background

My professional and educational background includes health promotion, health education, and coaching. I hold a master's degree in Health Promotion Management and a Master of Arts in Teaching, and I am a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®). I am currently completing professional training in health and wellness coaching through Real Balance Global Wellness Services as I work toward eligibility for National Board Certification in Health & Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC).

Curious whether coaching may be right for you?

If you're thinking about making a change but aren't sure what that could look like—or whether coaching would be helpful—let's talk. A complimentary discovery call is a chance to tell me a little about what you're looking for, ask questions, and see whether we're a good fit.
